Reply:First of all, you are the one who is going to have to say it for the rest of your life, not me. Second, your son will have to be called it for the rest of his, or until he changes it. I would not like to be called any of the names above. Is there motive or reasoning behind the names? Even if they mean something to you, your son will probably not share your views on it. Everyone goes through a time when they hate their name. I was born as "Munch" as you can see, my name is now Mike. A name is personal and for at least the first 18 years, permanent.

Zeke Kian and Zane Andre or Zeke Andre and Zane Kian. I think the second set sounds better. They have a better "flow".





The reason I suggest it is that niece's middle names are Evelyn Elizabeth after her maternal and paternal grandmothers.

Reply:No, they're not ugly. I love the name Andreas and I really like Kieran. Zane is cool. Zeke feels a bit nicknamey (I prefer Ezekiel), but it's not bad by any means. Kieran Ezekiel sounds really good, though if you want their middle initials to match, the Kieran Zeke is fine.





EDIT: I think the first names you've chosen are lovely. If you're having second thoughts about them, though, there's no reason you shouldn't honor your fathers with your sons' middle names. Andreas makes an awesome middle name, and Kian would, too.

i think names are pretty personal, so i'm not sure ranking them would really tell you much, instead i'll give some personal "first impressions" fof each. Also think of how they go with your surname.





Hayden - pretty neutral





Logan - it is the name of a pretty poorly regarded town near Brisbane Australia, but that's probably quite an obscure connection for people outside Australia.





Landon - sounds a bit odd, like something else miss-pronounced, not quite "London", not quite "landed" etc.





Jacob - a bit too biblical for my tastes, but it depends what you like





Hunter - depends what you like, i kind of like names which are words, but you have to be a bit careful with them, hunter is a bit on the violent side, if he turns militant vegetarian he may not like you for it

i think names are pretty personal, so i'm not sure ranking them would really tell you much, instead i'll give some personal "first impressions" fof each. Also think of how they go with your surname.





Hayden - pretty neutral





Logan - it is the name of a pretty poorly regarded town near Brisbane Australia, but that's probably quite an obscure connection for people outside Australia.





Landon - sounds a bit odd, like something else miss-pronounced, not quite "London", not quite "landed" etc.





Jacob - a bit too biblical for my tastes, but it depends what you like





Hunter - depends what you like, i kind of like names which are words, but you have to be a bit careful with them, hunter is a bit on the violent side, if he turns militant vegetarian he may not like you for it

Taggart is the correct spelling, and only use it if it is an important family name.

I'd say to go with literary names. there are some unusual names in literature. What "literary name" is your husband suggesting? Look at some of your favorite author's names or names from their books.





Kipling would be a good name and he was terrific and influential author.

I think the best random literary name I can come up with is Heathcliff - then you can call him "Heath." But better still would be to pick a book or character that's meaningful to you and/or your husband and run with that.
