I need suggestions on baby boy names?

My husband likes names from literature, nothing that sounds to effeminate...I like unusual names. I really like Caden Taggert, but hubby doesn't. Ideas, please!

I need suggestions on baby boy names?
Caden is not unusual anymore-everyone is using that name, just check out how many times it pops up in this forum. Go with Hubby's idea, you will find something nice that isn't popular and overused.

Reply:Caden is the MOST overused name right now. Use it only if you like calling all the other boys in your son's class Caden as well.

Taggart is the correct spelling, and only use it if it is an important family name.
Reply:How about Lowell? I don't know how that fits with your last name, though.

Use a family name for the middle name (hubby's first or middle, for example).
Reply:Armani, it's a great name for a boy!!
Reply:caden is overused.... Taggert. NO!

I'd say to go with literary names. there are some unusual names in literature. What "literary name" is your husband suggesting? Look at some of your favorite author's names or names from their books.

Kipling would be a good name and he was terrific and influential author.
Reply:Some of my favorites:

William, Liam, Scott, James, Henry, Finn, Malacai, Joshua, Nathan, Nate, Sam, Ben, Gabriel, Kaden, Caleb, Nicolus, Nick, Tyler, Ty, Marcus, Lucas, Xander, Alexander, Alex, Thomas, Mattias, Rory, Matt, Shane, Jeremy, Frederic.
Reply:"Caden"? Must you? That name will sound horribly dated and silly before your child hits junior high.

I think the best random literary name I can come up with is Heathcliff - then you can call him "Heath." But better still would be to pick a book or character that's meaningful to you and/or your husband and run with that.
Reply:Yep Caden was my choice too. Only I wanted to spell it Kaiden instead. I have already heard of 4 people I know of who have named their kids the same thing. It's becoming very popular. That sucks because it's a great name. But who wants their kid to have the most common name of the times?

How about Noah? That's certainly from literature.
Reply:If we would have had a boy his name would have been Jace Michal.
Reply:If this baby was a boy I was going to name him Josiah. Instead I am having a lil girl. Good luck on the name game.
Reply:Here are some other literature names that you both might agree on:

Heathcliff

Jonas

Asher

Gilbert

Reply:How about Emerson? or something like Finn, Sawyer, Oliver, Carter, Griffin? Just thinking of author's names %26amp; some of their characters. Caden is a little overused at the present time!

Reply:Personally, I'm fond of names like Malcolm, Colin, Ian, Connor and Julian. Caden is all right, but Taggert? I gotta go with your husband on that one. Maybe a compromise? You pick one name and he picks the other?
